I would like to start by saying that this film is awesome!
While nothing particularly happens throughout, the sense of foreboding inherent through the film is incredibly strong and there is an air of creepiness and tension running within it.
The lead performance by Michael Shannon is excellent and as he steadily starts to lose his mind, he never overplays his gradual decline into what he believes is the start of a mental illness.
An excellent film all round, this is definitely one of the picks of the festival so far and is one of the best I've seen at any of the festivals I've been to in the last 7 years.
When it gets a general release you need to see it.
